At present time, there are about 80 foreign students pursuing for bachelor degrees ranging from freshmen to seniors.

Introduction to CS Major

The mission of the undergraduate program in Computer Science is to learn systematically the basic theory, basic knowledge, basic skills and methods in computer theory, computer programming and software designing, developing ability by applying the computer science theory, abstraction, design and implementation to solve problems in the discipline.

Computer Science is the study of information and computation of algorithms, data and computing systems which accept, store, transform and present data in ways that contribute to knowledge and the well-being of society. By completing the major, students will have a deep understanding of software development, software systems and computer science theory, and strong skill in software designing and development.

Main Courses

Besides many common courses especially designed for non-Chinese students, CS major provides the following main courses: Math, Linear Algebra C Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, Computer Network Operating System, Principles of Database & Applications, Advanced Algorithms; Object Oriented Programming in Java, Multimedia Technologies, Web Application Development, C++ Programming, UML & Software Modeling,  Python Programming and Machine Learning, Mobile Development, Software Engineering, Software Testing Techniques, IT Project Management.  CS major also provides many course practices, optional courses, internship and graduate thesis.

Career Opportunities

There are also excellent career opportunities for graduates with the backgrounds in business, industry and government as programmers, systems analysts, managers of computer systems and networks, user support officers and software engineers.
